The Mission: Acceleration!

At first, our website was like a turtle in slow motion. It took several seconds to fully load. While this is normal, it doesn't meet our high standards. Especially since we know the statistics about this, and how website speed affects the likelihood of staying or leaving.

Carl, the programming wizard, dived headfirst into optimization. We swapped images for AVIFs (the format of the future!), created an SVG sprite sheet for the icons, and eliminated all external fonts and resources that were delaying loading.

Less than half a second on desktop and 1.4s on mobile, without sacrificing content or animations. Phew! Mission accomplished.

At Picovian, we believe that speed is essential for a good user experience. After all, nobody likes to wait forever for a website to load, do they?
